The Player's Board

Our board is designed with you, the player, in mind. Designed with the assistance of world-renowned backgammon personalities for excellence in play, our board has numerous intentional features. It measures 24 by 28 inches and uses 1-3/4 inch men.
The professional playing surface is very fast, allowing the men to glide across the surface with one finger. The points are colored through the material so they will not fade or wear off. For quiet play, the surface is cushioned, giving the dice a muted sound with just the right amount of action. Several colors of playing surfaces are offered to compliment your decorating tastes.
Dimensionally, The Player's Board is precisely correct. Across the base of the pips, the six men fit snugly with about one-eighth inch clearance. Five men lined up on a pip meet precisely at the point of the pip. The gap between the opposing pips will accommodate one additional man.
The bearing off pocket is aligned for ease of placement of the men. For ease of play, recesses for the doubling cube are provided, one in the center, and the other two on the outer left corner for each player.
The perimeter of the board is covered in soft, seamless, durable vinyl that is formed to the board's contours. The dice reflect in a quiet yet lively manner from this cushioned surface and your forearms will rejoice in the comfort of the fully radiused edges. The vinyl is easy to care for and is extremely resistant to the rigors of time and extensive use.
The back is covered in cork to protect any surface that it may contact. Recessed into this side are provisions for wall hanging and a serial number for our permanent reference.
